Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Say it ain't so, Steve! Cars 2 is... a ... I have to whisper, because I can't believe it... a bad movie.

A bad Pixar movie. That's like typing "square circle" or "sturdy wood product".

Nothing gold can stay.

Cut away the dead wood, Pixar, whatever that might be. You are Pixar! Pull yourselves together! Go! Confront the problem! Fight! Win!

And hire me when you get back. I would enjoy working for you.

  1. We just returned from seeing it and although the jabs at Big Oil were amusing, it certainly wasn't as bad as being lectured on consumerism by Pixar in Wall-E.

It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting.

  3. I thought Wall E was just making fun of fat people. And I loved it. Wall E, that is, not making fun of fat people. (Well, that part WAS funny). And we do buy too much stuff anyway.

I haven't even seen Cars "1" yet. My bad. But if Cars 2 stinks, it's probably because Disney has a hand in Pixar now.

  4. I really liked "Wall-E". It seemed to make some apt observations about how materialistic our society is. Also, I didn't think they were making fun of fat people so much as they were showing how much like infants people had become. They had no adult responsibilities and their every need was supposedly looked after, right down to their roly-poly figures being swaddled in Buy 'n' Large colors. It was like watching the film adaptation of a Mark Steyn column.
