True Coen

I went to see "True Grit" on Saturday. To loosely quote my esteemed brother-in-law, run, don't walk, to your nearest theater and see it for yourself. You won't be sorry, except for when you think about how neither Jeff Bridges nor Hailee Steinfeld won Oscars for their performances.

Why can't more movies be like "True Grit"? Why are so many of them like "Hot Tub Time Machine"?

Here's what Greydanus thought.

  1. Best show I've seen in the last year. For True Grit, Crazy Heart, and The Big Lebowski alone, Bridges deserves some sort of Nobel Prize... Nobel Prize for Awesome-Ness perhaps... though I'm not sure I'd like to see him in the same club as certain other recent winners (on reflection, he probably voted for both of the villains [that's me controlling my language ;)] but I guess nobody's perfect)

  6. Does that mean your dentist accepts InterCat?

You should try to find someone cheaper, maybe in the dead squirrel-possum range.
