Getting at the meat of the issue

More proof that our institutions of higher learning are losing their way:
Sight of meat calms us: study
No, it's not from The Onion. Let me guess - the scientists who did this study thought it up while they were getting plastered at a buddy's barbecue.

  1. Hmmm...the sight of "food" had a calming effect on people who need to well, "eat" to survive...

And someone PAID for this study?

In another vein: peacenik meat-haters (types looking to blame the red stuff for yet more problems in the world, in this case male agression) v. meat; meat wins. Yay!

  2. Meat does NOT have a calming effect on me when it's raw, and I have to touch and/or cook it.
