Lukewarm MILK (Mommy's Little Helpers)

I was running late after music lessons and grocery shopping today and scrambling to get dinner ready (ie. supper). In the bustle of the kitchen, I called out, "Would anyone like to wash some lettuce?" Not one, but TWO of my daughters piped up immediately with a reply. Feeling bested, the older one scowled at the younger, who shouted triumphantly, "I said No first!"

  1. Ha! You're my hero Mrs P. You're organised enough to make a dinner in which an ingredient is a green vegetable! I can only dream ....

  2. Do your Ozzian grocery stores have bagged salads in the produce section? No washing, no cutting. You just dump it in a bowl. We buy those all the time when we go camping.

  3. They do. I get the mammoth bags of baby spinach from Costco ... Oh how I love Costco.

  4. Then of course is the second part of the equation: 'encouraging' one's children to like eating raw veggies. Horses, water, leading...so forth.
